Can I get an accurate result online?
Yes.  Your result is based on an assessment of your overall combination of characteristics.  We consider the answers you give in our online questionnaire and then confirm a number of points with additional questions to remove any areas of uncertainty.  Our feedback has been very positive, see customer comments.

What if I have dyed my hair?
Colour analysis is based on your natural colouring: this establishes the tones that will always complement you. (It is important therefore to ensure that you select the hair image which is closest to your original hair colour.)  You can of course adapt your colours to fit with changes you make to your natural look. Many of our clients ask for advice on choosing an alternative hair colour.  Please add some comments to your order or during the consultation process and our consultant will advise you.

What if my hair has gone grey, or goes grey after the analysis?
No problem, your analysis is based on your natural colouring.  A colour analysis result will not change because you have gone grey.  For example if you were a soft summer when you were young, you will remain a soft summer when you go grey. However, you may chose to adapt the way you wear your colours. If you intend to leave you hair grey, select your natural hair colour on the questionnaire, and add a comment regarding your hair, where indicated on your order, so our consultant can advise you.  If you dye your hair, or are looking for advice on a choosing a new colour also add a comment where indicated on your order.  Also see faq 'What if I have dyed my hair?'

Can I wear other colours not in my booklet of swatches?
Yes! As you get familiar with your personal colour qualities and the examples in your swatch, you will find many more colours that you can wear. Your swatch is a selection of 30 colours in your 'tonal group'.  They are a mixture of colours and neutrals chosen to give you sufficient options to build a working wardrobe. Your guide will explain the colour qualities that they share and why they are complementary to you. With this knowledge you will be able to identify new colours and combinations to try each fashion season. If a new colour sits well with those in your swatch it should look good on you.

How do you know my Season or Tonal group?
Personal colour analysis has 2 established systems: Seasonal and Tonal. Your classification is determined by the overall combination of your natural colouring.  For example a person with black hair, pale skin and blue eyes will be classified differently from someone with blonde hair, beige skin and blue eyes.  There are many variation of these attributes and subtle shades in between.  We use our experience to assess your answers to our questionnaire and then review the selections with you before we finalise your colour classification. We explain how your colouring fits in with both systems and how to chose and wear complementary colours in your guide included in the service.

What is colour analysis?
Colour analysis is an assessment of a person's natural colouring; the quality and depth of colour found in the hair, eyes and skin tone. To capture these natural looks there are 2 main classification systems; Seasons, (Spring, summer, autumn and winter) and Tonal, (Warm, cool, bright, soft, light, dark). As part of your Colour Analysis Package, we will identify both your season and your tonal direction. The guide you receive will explain this classification and how you can wear the colours in your personal swatch to best effect. When you wear colours that are in tune with our own colouring you will have a natural elegance. You will find a number of these colours will be personal 'key' colours, which will make you 'sparkle'.

What are the benefits of a shopping swatch?
Once you have your swatch of colours you will see they belong to a 'family' and share common colour 'values'. Your guide will explain how these colours relate to you and how best to combine them to achieve a great look.  You now have a system to help save you time and money.  You can begin by checking the clothes in your wardrobe against the swatch. Items that don't fit with the swatch are likely to be clothes you have not enjoyed wearing. Take you swatch shopping and use it to identify clothes likely to suit you before you invest time or money in them.  When you decide to purchase an item you can be confident that it will fit with other clothes you have back home in your newly organised wardrobe. Shopping with a system and finding clothes that suit will make fashion and clothes fun; you will get better value from them and cut the cost of unworn items.
